Read on to learn how to make these awesome easy DIY Christmas ornaments!
So one of the homeschool groups that we’re part of is having an ornament making day this year, which my kids have been really excited about. Everyone is supposed to bring some supplies for an easy DIY Christmas ornament and we all can just go to town letting those creative Christmas juices flow!
I was trying to decide on what to bring since there will be a large range of ages there. We’ll have everything from toddlers to teenagers.
So I wanted to bring something that would easy enough for the younger kids, but not too babyish for the teens. See my dilemma?
Then it hit me! Beaded snowflakes ornaments! They’re easy enough to make for little kids (still with parental supervision and help with the pliers, of course!) but can be refined enough for teens and adults! You just give bigger beads to the younger kids and let the older crowd use the fancier, smaller ones.
So if you’re also looking for a great DIY Christmas craft for all ages, or if you just want a quick and easy craft for yourself, you’ve come to the right place!

I’ll show you how easy it is.
Gather supplies for these easy DIY Christmas ornaments
First, gather your supplies. You’ll need some wire snowflake forms, beads, and needle nose pliers (which, by the way, are one of my all-time favorite crafting tools, haha).
Add beads to the snowflake ornament form
Thread beads on one of the tines until you have about ½ a centimeter of wire left uncovered. Then use the pliers to bend the end of the tine around so that the beads won’t fall off.
Continue on with the remaining tines until they are all covered and the beads secured.
And THAT’S IT!
Originally I was going to add a loop of string through one of the folded over tines to use to hang it from the Christmas tree. But then I realized that these snowflake ornaments actually work even better just being placed right on the boughs of the tree!
Aren’t they so pretty? Imagine how magical a whole tree of them would be! We certainly don’t need a million more ornaments, but I’m really tempted to make a bunch of these snowflakes anyway, haha!
